A space colony located at Lagrange point 4, named after the pioneering genetic theorist Gregor Mendel. The construction of Mendel began around C.E. 30, and the colony went on to host many of the genetic engineering companies and businesses involved in Coordinator production, such as GARM R&D. Mendel was abandoned in C.E. 68 following the outbreak of a lethal biohazard, after which the entire colony was sterilized via X-ray irradiation. Although many of the space colonies at Lagrange point 4 were damaged or destroyed during the current war, the uninhabited Mendel colony has remained relatively intact.
