One of the two space fortresses that guard the PLANT homeland. Originally controlled by the Republic of East Asia, who gave it the name Nova, this asteroid was placed in Earth orbit at Lagrange point 4 so that it could be used as a resource mine. After Nova was captured by ZAFT on July 12, C.E. 70, it was transferred to the PLANT homeland at Lagrange point 5 and converted into the military base known as Boaz. The name Boaz is borrowed from one of the two pillars of Solomon's temple.
